Position Summary:

We are hiring a Full-Time Security Officer for Belvidere, IL, with availability for any shift. The successful candidate will contribute to a safe and secure environment for clients and their property while delivering excellent customer service in alignment with Securitas’ high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor access and maintain security of client sites

• Patrol interior and exterior areas on foot (must be able to walk up to 2 miles per shift)

• Respond to incidents and emergency situations

• Maintain a professional presence and deliver excellent customer service

• Enforce safety and site procedures in a timely and respectful manner

• Operate basic technology and reporting systems

• Maintain situational awareness and provide visible deterrence to suspicious activity

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including in inclement weather

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Basic computer proficiency required

• Must be eligible for or possess a PERC card (Illinois-specific security credential)

• Able to pass a drug test and background check

• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus
