Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Secondary to lead our thriving secondary school. Al Rabeeh Academy, a purpose-built school that opened in August 2017, is part of a growing network of schools. Known for high-quality education and pastoral care since 1979, the Academy offers a bilingual curriculum (English National Curriculum alongside Arabic) from FS1 to Year 13. The successful candidate will lead with passion, energy, and commitment to drive excellence in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Secondary School.

• Lead and manage the Secondary team to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.

• Foster a culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

• Monitor and track student attainment and progress using assessment data.

• Drive curriculum development in line with best practices and student needs.

• Ensure high levels of pastoral care, student well-being, and safeguarding.

• Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and the wider school community.

• Promote innovation, digital learning, and 21st-century learning skills.

Essential Requirements:

• A proven track record of successful senior leadership within a UK curriculum school.

• A degree and a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within a National Curriculum of England school, and 3 years of teaching.

• A deep understanding of curriculum development, assessment, and pastoral care.

• Experience in teaching EAL students and differentiating learning.

• Understanding of UAE culture and sensitivity to regional traditions.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Confidence in using data-driven strategies to raise student attainment.

• A commitment to extra-curricular activities and whole-school initiatives.

Desirable:

• Experience in teaching A-Levels.

• Prior experience in the Middle East and a strong understanding of bilingual education.
