Petrofac, a leading international service provider to the energy industry, is looking for an Investigator to join their team. The role involves conducting investigations into possible breaches of the Petrofac Code of Conduct and other policies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigation of Breaches: Conduct investigations into breaches of the Petrofac Code of Conduct and other policies in line with the Petrofac Protocol and Investigation Management System/Framework.

  • Leadership in Investigations: Lead complex investigations across the group, collaborating with other functions as needed, and in consultation with the Investigations Manager and Director.

  • Monitor Speak-Up Incidents: Support in monitoring and assessing Speak-up incidents to identify potential investigations with guidance from the Investigations Manager.

  • Collaboration: Work with different functions, including Group Internal Audit, to ensure effective feedback from investigation closeouts to the Speak-Up management process.

  • Training: Assist in the delivery of training on conducting effective investigations to build a network of investigation resources across the business.

  • Investigation Execution: Co-direct investigations ensuring adherence to agreed Terms of Reference (ToR), timelines, and reporting formats, while overseeing investigation closeouts.

  • Oversight of Outsourced Investigations: Provide oversight on investigations “farmed out” from Speak-up and investigated by other parts of the business.

  • Conformance to Ethical Standards: Live by Petrofac’s Code of Conduct and values with high ethical standards, commitment, and integrity.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Background in Compliance or Investigation: Experienced investigator with a background in Compliance, Legal, or Internal Audit.

  • Education: Graduate Law degree preferred, or a degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering (with a second degree like MBA, Finance, Law, Economics, or Data Analysis advantageous).

  • Professional Qualification: Membership to a bar association, certified accountant, IT certifications, Chartered engineer, Certified Fraud Examiner, or CCEP certifications.

  • Experience: 5+ years of investigative experience in Petrofac, professional services firms, or relevant companies.

  • Forensic Tools Expertise: Experienced in working with forensic tools like NUIX, Microsoft E-discovery, Relativity, etc.

  • Industry Experience: Relevant industry experience gained in Petrofac or other relevant companies is preferred.

  • Defence Line Experience: Experience working in the first or second line of defence is an advantage.
