Job Title: Senior Financial Reporting Specialist 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to support a leading banking organization on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and accounting within the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, disclosures, and adjustments.

• Lead monthly financial closing activities and ensure accurate consolidation of results.

• Provide subject matter expertise in regulatory reporting and Risk-Weighted Asset (RWA) reporting.

• Drive process improvements and implement efficient solutions aligned with the bank’s financial objectives.

• Build and influence relationships at the highest levels of the organization to support strategic financial initiatives.

• Collaborate with regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports.

• Communicate complex financial matters to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.

• Make informed, robust decisions that align with both risk management standards and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting within a banking environment or auditing banks.

• Strong background in regulatory reporting and RWA frameworks.

• Proven leadership and change management abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across departments.

• Membership of a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., ACA, CPA).

• Prior experience with regulators and understanding of the regulatory landscape in the banking sector.
