Outlier is seeking experienced Singapore English writers to help train generative artificial intelligence models. This freelance opportunity allows flexibility in working hours and the ability to work remotely. The ideal candidate will have fluency in Singapore English and a background in writing or translation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AI Model Feedback:

   • Read Singapore English text and rank responses produced by AI models.

2. Content Creation:

   • Write short stories in Singapore English based on given topics.

3. Fact-checking:

   • Assess whether AI-generated Singapore English text is factually accurate.

Desirable Expertise:

• Must have been educated in Singapore for high school or earlier.

• Professional Experience:

  • Experience as a professional translator or in professional writing (copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, etc.)

• Academic Background:

  • Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in Singapore in a humanities field or a field related to writing.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: USD $25.00 per hour (average for core project work)

• Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and more. Higher rates may be offered for PhDs. Non-core work during onboarding or overtime phases may have lower rates.

• Some projects offer incentive payments.
