Job Title: Fire Station Supervisor & On-Scene Emergency Commander

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Fire Station Supervisor to oversee daily operations across multiple fire stations within a designated zone. The role demands leadership in emergency response, readiness management, and community engagement to enhance fire safety practices.

As the On-Scene Commander, you will take charge during emergency situations, coordinating multiple responder services under the Incident Command System. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the efficiency of fire-fighting operations and in minimizing damage or casualties during incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily routines across multiple fire stations ensuring operational readiness.

• Act as the On-Scene Commander during emergencies, making critical decisions in high-pressure situations.

• Ensure all firefighting and rescue equipment is operational and personnel are properly briefed and trained.

• Promote fire safety awareness and prevention practices within the community.

• Maintain discipline, training records, and preparedness of all fire station staff.

• Communicate effectively across departments and with civilians during emergencies.

Education & Qualifications:

• Diploma in Fire Fighting or Watch Management from a recognized institute (e.g., Institution of Fire Engineers).

• Certification in Incident Command or Emergency Services Management preferred.

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 9 years of fire-fighting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.

• Experience in commercial/industrial firefighting, civil defense, or military fire service.

• Strong command of English (Upper Intermediate/Level 5).

• Proven leadership in emergency scenarios and decision-making under pressure.

• Proficiency with a wide range of modern firefighting and rescue tools.

• Valid Heavy Vehicle driving license preferred.

• Empathetic, resilient, and able to support victims in distressing situations.
