Cooper Fitch is hiring a Head of M&A and Corporate Development for a leading private sector entity operating in the energy transition sector. The company focuses on the development, investment, and operation of power generation assets across emerging and developed markets. This strategic leadership role will drive investment strategy, capital allocation, and risk management in alignment with renewable energy and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Investment Leadership: Define and drive investment strategies aligned with global sustainability trends and renewable energy objectives.

Portfolio Management: Oversee performance and risk profiles of existing assets and projects for optimized returns.

Capital Allocation: Make informed decisions on capital deployment across various markets, technologies (wind, solar, green hydrogen), and project stages.

Market Intelligence & Origination: Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in renewable energy markets using regulatory and market insights.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (governments, investors) to structure and close transactions.

Financial Structuring: Lead project finance structuring, including equity investments, debt facilities, and strategic partnerships.

Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with corporate governance, ESG standards, and regulatory frameworks.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team focused on investment excellence and innovation.

Risk Management: Evaluate and mitigate risks throughout the investment lifecycle.
Preferred Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in corporate development and M&A within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
