Basatin Landscaping SPLLC is seeking an experienced MEP Draughtsman for landscaping projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves preparing detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings and layouts, coordinating with internal teams, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting construction teams with on-site clarifications and revisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed MEP drawings and layouts for landscaping projects, including irrigation, lighting, drainage, water features, and pump systems.

• Develop coordinated shop drawings based on design input, engineering data, and site requirements.

• Assist in converting conceptual designs and mark-ups into technical drawings for construction and installation.

• Coordinate with landscape architects, civil engineers, and site teams to ensure MEP systems are properly integrated into the overall design.

• Ensure drawings align with architectural, structural, and civil components to avoid service clashes.

• Support BIM coordination by integrating MEP models with other disciplines.

• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADM, ADDC) and international standards.

• Revise and update drawings based on site changes and feedback from project managers.

• Maintain organized documentation, version control, and drawing files in line with project submission schedules.

• Recommend improvements in drafting technologies and design methodologies to improve project efficiency.

• Adhere to Basatin’s Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and Information Security policies.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical field.

• Certified AutoCAD Draughtsman or equivalent.

• 3–5 years of experience in MEP drafting, preferably in landscaping, infrastructure, or construction sectors.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.

• Strong understanding of MEP systems including irrigation, lighting, drainage, water features, and pump rooms.

• Knowledge of local authority standards (e.g., ADM, DEWA, ADDC) and international design codes.

• Skilled in preparing detailed and coordinated shop drawings, sections, and as-built drawings.

• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams.

• Attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve service clashes or design conflicts during coordination.
