Director, Business Development – Financial Institutions

Fiserv, a global leader in fintech and payment solutions, is seeking a highly experienced Director of Business Development – Financial Institutions to join their team in Dubai. This full-time role focuses on developing and managing high-value relationships with financial institutions across the Middle East, particularly in the areas of issuer and acquirer processing. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, a proven track record in business development, and the ability to lead complex sales cycles from prospecting to closing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a robust pipeline of new business opportunities with financial institutions, especially card issuers and merchant acquirers.

  • Lead end-to-end business development processes including RFx responses, product presentations, and solution pitching.

  • Drive commercial negotiations and liaise with internal stakeholders including legal, compliance, technology, and finance teams.

  • Maintain strong relationships with strategic partners such as advisory firms, card schemes, processors, and POS providers.

  • Stay up to date with market trends and emerging technologies to align client needs with Fiserv’s innovative offerings.

  • Position Fiserv as a preferred provider for advanced payment solutions and fintech services in the region.

Required Skills to Be Successful:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or product management within the financial services sector, preferably in card issuing/acquiring.

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first mindset.

  • Ability to lead complex, high-value sales cycles independently and collaboratively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM platforms; detail-oriented and organized.
