Johnson Controls is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of its Controls products business in the Middle East region. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, expanding relationships with existing clients, and securing product specifications from consultants and installers for major projects. The Business Development Manager will also deliver high-quality technical presentations and live product demonstrations to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify new business opportunities and analyze the market/competitor landscape

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with consultants, developers, and end-users

• Target and secure the specification of Controls products in consultant and installer bids

• Prepare and deliver high-quality technical presentations and live product demos

• Develop short- and long-term sales strategies for achieving business targets

• Provide customer reviews and reports on market trends, customer issues, and competitive analysis

• Collaborate with Sales Manager to meet annual sales targets for the territory

• Liaise with Training, Product Management, and Technical Support to ensure solutions meet customer needs

• Maintain and enhance customer relationships, ensuring commitments are delivered

• Use CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track opportunities, quotes, and projects

• Enhance brand visibility and seek ways to improve market share and reputation

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, HVAC, or Electrical Engineering (preferred)

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Sales Management or Business Development in Controls/Building Automation Systems in the MEA region

• Strong consultative approach and customer-focused mentality

• Proven track record in generating new business and developing successful customer relationships

• Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills

• Ability to lead and develop strategic partnerships with consultants and key decision-makers

• Proficient in English communication; fluency in additional languages is a plus

• Willingness to travel as required
