The UNDP in the Arab States region is seeking a Research Analyst (Economics) to support economic research, data analysis, and policy development for knowledge-based initiatives. This full-time, on-site role involves analyzing economic trends, contributing to the Global Knowledge Index (GKI), and providing policy advice.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct quantitative and econometric analyses using advanced statistical techniques and models.

Contribute to think-pieces, policy briefs, and empirical research on economic trends.

Lead data collection, verification, and analysis to ensure data integrity.

Design and produce analytical reports, policy briefs, and data visualizations.
-
Advise on economic policies and strategies, focusing on human capital and development.

Organize and facilitate events and workshops on economic themes.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s degree) in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in economic research, data analysis, and policy development (with Master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree).

Skills: Proficiency in statistical software, econometric modelling, and excellent research skills.

Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English (both oral and written).

Experience in working in the Arab States region and in report development is highly desirable.
Contract Type: International Personnel Service Agreement (IPSA-9)
