💼 Role Overview

A prestigious Multinational Engineering Consultancy in Dubai is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to work on high-profile new-build projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, with a proven track record in PMC or recognized consultancy firms.

This is an immediate requirement, offered as a 3-month contract through J10 Consulting, with the potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Design and integrate mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy management systems.

• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.

• Develop detailed mechanical plans and documentation aligned with architectural and structural design.

• Use BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit to produce coordinated 3D models and engineering drawings.

• Ensure mechanical systems comply with local codes, international standards, and sustainability certifications (LEED, BREEAM, etc.).

• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure integration and coordination of services.

• Lead value engineering sessions and participate in design reviews to enhance system performance and cost-efficiency.

• Continuously evaluate and improve design methodologies and software tools used within the team.

✅ Candidate Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum)

• Experience: Minimum 6 years of post-graduate experience with at least 1 year in a PMC or major consultancy firm

• Demonstrated expertise in:

  • HVAC design

  • Plumbing systems

  • Fire protection systems

• Proficiency in BIM/Revit and mechanical design software

• Strong understanding of local regulations, building codes, and authority compliance (UAE-specific)

• Excellent interpersonal, client-facing, and team collaboration skills

• Experience working on high-rise, commercial, or mixed-use developments is a plus
