Design Estimation Engineer

📍 Location: Dubai / Abu Dhabi, UAE

🏢 About the Client:

A leading Abu Dhabi-based provider of advanced fire protection solutions, specializing in the design, installation, and testing of fire detection, firefighting, and emergency lighting systems.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare design layouts, cost estimates, and BOQs for fire protection systems in compliance with DCD, NFPA, and local fire codes.

• Use AutoCAD, DiaLUX, and other design tools to deliver accurate drawings and system layouts.

• Provide technical support to sales and project teams, including site visits, proposal reviews, and authority approvals.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to secure design approvals and product validations.

• Participate in technical presentations and meetings with key stakeholders.

• Keep records of all documentation including design files, approvals, and estimation reports.

• Stay up to date with evolving fire safety codes, products, and industry best practices.

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 6 years of UAE experience in fire detection and protection design

• Experience in Data Centre Projects and fire systems including:

  • Emergency Lighting

  • Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA)

  • Fire Alarm Systems

• Strong knowledge of DCD, NFPA, and UAE-specific fire codes

• Proficient in AutoCAD, DiaLUX, and MS Office

• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory

• Must be currently based in the UAE
