RAK Ports is seeking an Assistant Health & Safety Manager to join the HSEQ team at Saqr Port. The role involves supporting the HSEQ Manager in daily health and safety management, ensuring safety compliance, conducting audits and investigations, and fostering a culture of safety across port operations. The position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in health and safety, preferably in ports, logistics, or industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and enforce the Permit to Work (PTW) program.

• Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, site inspections, and emergency response drills.

• Supervise the issuance and tracking of PPE and lifesaving equipment.

• Lead induction sessions for employees, contractors, and port visitors.

• Monitor and manage internal systems like COSHH registers, INBISCO reports, and HSE documentation.

• Investigate incidents and manage audit outcomes in collaboration with the HSEQ Manager.

• Coordinate internal safety awareness campaigns, drills, and performance reporting.

• Manage H&S shift rosters to ensure adequate team coverage.

• Provide operational support across other RAK Ports sites when required.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Health & Safety from a recognized institution.

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (NEBOSH Diploma preferred).

• Valid UAE Driving License.

• Lead Auditor Certificate and Certificate in Training Delivery (preferred).

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Health & Safety, preferably in ports, logistics, or industrial settings.

• Fluency in English and Hindi/Urdu (both spoken and written).

• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and global compliance standards.

• Hands-on experience in incident investigation, audits, PPE control, and reporting systems.

• Collaborative mindset, leadership ability, and strong communication skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with internal reporting tools.
