Al Rabeeh Academy, a prestigious British curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Secondary to lead and inspire its Secondary School division. Established in 2017 and part of a long-standing educational group since 1979, Al Rabeeh Academy is renowned for its academic excellence and pastoral care. Role Overview:
The Head of Secondary will provide strategic leadership and oversee the academic, pastoral, and co-curricular development of the Secondary School. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding leadership, curriculum expertise, and the ability to foster an inclusive, forward-thinking educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of the Secondary School’s operations and strategy

• Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes

• Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement

• Drive curriculum development and implement assessment best practices

• Support student well-being, safeguarding, and pastoral care

• Build strong relationships with staff, parents, and the wider community

• Encourage digital learning and 21st-century skills

• Use data to monitor student performance and inform decisions

Essential Requirements:

• Proven senior leadership experience in a UK curriculum school

• Degree and recognized teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)

• At least 2 years in a leadership role and 3 years of teaching experience

• Strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment, and EAL differentiation

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with UAE culture and sensitivity to local traditions

• Commitment to extra-curricular activities and school initiatives

Desirable:

• Experience in teaching A-Levels

• Prior teaching experience in the Middle East

• Understanding of bilingual education environments
