Quantity Surveyor – Tendering (Piling & Shoring Projects)

Job Description:

A leading construction company in the UAE is seeking a Quantity Surveyor – Tendering with specialized experience in piling and shoring works. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing project costs from inception to completion, ensuring high value and cost-efficiency without compromising on quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents and project specifications.

• Interpret technical drawings and perform quantity take-offs.

• Handle supplier and subcontractor correspondence for pricing and scope clarifications.

• Prepare tender documentation, including bills of quantities and scope of work.

• Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations to create detailed comparative statements.

• Support the tendering team in post-tender clarifications and correspondence.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Experience: 3–5 years in tendering and quantity surveying for piling and shoring projects.

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of piling/shoring methods and specifications.

  • Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions.

  • Experience in quantity take-off and cost estimation.

• Language: Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and CCS Candy is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with project planning software like Primavera or MS Project is a plus.
