Labour and Workforce Training Manager – Construction Division

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Labour and Workforce Training Manager to oversee the efficient allocation, productivity, and development of skilled tradesmen within our Construction Division. This role requires strong leadership, workforce planning, and training coordination to ensure optimal project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and manage construction labour into trade-specific teams with assigned supervisors.

• Coordinate with HR to monitor workforce attrition, leave, and recruitment needs.

• Deploy and allocate labour resources based on project requirements and timelines.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to optimize workforce productivity and implement labour management strategies.

• Supervise trade managers (Carpentry, Steel Fixing, Masonry) to enhance efficiency and productivity.

• Work with Production Engineers to track and improve labour performance metrics.

• Coordinate with Training Centre to align workforce skill development with project needs.

• Manage transportation and site deployment logistics in collaboration with Workmen Relations & Security teams.

• Conduct regular workforce reviews with senior management to ensure optimal resource utilization.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in direct labour and trades management.

• Vocational qualification in a trade discipline (e.g., NVQ).

• 5+ years GCC experience with an international main contractor.

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred).

• IOSH Managing Safely certification or equivalent safety experience.

• Strong leadership and senior management experience.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact across all levels.

• Proven ability to manage workforce planning and resource allocation.

• UAE Driving License is essential.

Salary:

AED 40,000 – 50,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances).
