Job Overview
A leading multinational company operating in construction, hospitality, renewable energy, airports, and air freight is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to handle financial transactions, budgeting, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction or contracting sector with expertise in project accounting, cost control, and compliance with UAE financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
📊 Accounting & Financial Management

Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare and review financial statements, cash flow reports, and budget forecasts.

Track and manage subcontractor and supplier payments and ensure proper certifications.
📈 Project Accounting & Cost Control

Monitor and control project costs, ensuring accurate cost allocation and timely invoicing.

Support project managers with financial data analysis and reports.
💰 Tax Compliance & Auditing

Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and coordinate tax filings.

Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual closings.
📂 Documentation & Reporting

Maintain proper financial documentation and filing systems for all transactions.

Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
Requirements
✅ Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are preferred.
✅ Technical Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle ERP).

Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and financial compliance.
