Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled MEP Procurement Engineer to manage the procurement of MEP materials and services for construction projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, electrical, and ELV systems, along with expertise in cost optimization, supplier management, and contract negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Supplier Management:

• Identify and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for MEP-related materials and services.

• Ensure the timely procurement of materials in line with project schedules and specifications.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and continuity of supply.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.

Contract & Negotiation:

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals.

• Draft and manage contracts while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Logistics & Compliance:

• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure on-time material deliveries.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.

• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and legal requirements.

Collaboration & Reporting:

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, finance, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with project requirements.

• Support the finance department in processing payments and resolving invoicing issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Procurement/Supply Chain certification like CIPS is a plus).
✔ 8+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in MEP procurement for construction projects.
✔ Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and materials.
✔ Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics.
✔ Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
✔ Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
