Groupon is seeking a Business Development Representative to build partnerships with new small-sized businesses for the Groupon platform. The role involves cold calling, relationship management, and closing local deals. The representative will receive hands-on sales training and will work towards market growth for both merchant quality and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:

Seek out new business opportunities targeting small-sized merchants through cold calling

Develop familiarity with each merchant’s business to create tailored marketing strategies

Handle contract negotiations, including margins, discounts, and other key elements

Achieve and exceed sales targets, while working closely with Merchant Development teams
-
Drive market growth and ensure smooth transitions for new accounts
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
-
2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in inside sales

Proven ability to meet sales quotas and negotiate deals

Experience in relationship management and transactional selling
-
Strong adaptability, communication skills, and resilience
