Global Air Navigation Services (GANS) is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Project Leader to oversee and manage Air Navigation Services (ANS) projects. The role involves leading Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) equipment, Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems, Aeronautical Information Systems (AIS), and Airspace/Procedure change projects to ensure timely execution and successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead CNS/ATM, AIS, and Airspace/Procedure projects, ensuring timely delivery.

• Coordinate with stakeholders, including operational teams and ANS departments, to define project scope, requirements, and budget.

• Develop business cases, project charters, and specifications for project approvals.

• Manage procurement processes, including RFP development, bid evaluations, and contract finalization.

• Supervise project execution, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and project plans.

• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure project success.

• Track project budget and spending, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

• Oversee testing, operational handovers, and post-implementation reviews.

• Manage defect liability periods, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

• Provide leadership to project teams, setting objectives and development plans.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.

• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).

• 10+ years of experience in managing complex projects, including major Air Traffic Management transformations.

• 5+ years of experience in managing direct reports.

• Strong knowledge of ICAO, UAE Civil Aviation, and TRA regulations.

• Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).

• Technical expertise in ANS equipment, safety management, compliance, and risk assessment.

• Experience with QMS/IMS, SMS standards, IT, and project management software.

• Strong resilience to work under pressure and handle project challenges effectively.
