Roads & Highways Engineer (Supervision)

Our multinational Design & Engineering Consultancy client is seeking a highly experienced Roads & Highways Engineer to join their Construction Supervision team in Dubai. The role involves working on large-scale infrastructure projects across the Emirate. Ideal candidates will have significant experience as a Consultant Roads & Highways Construction Supervision Engineer, preferably from a renowned consultancy background.

This is an immediate start, direct-hire, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Project Engineer for medium to large roads and infrastructure projects, overseeing the group’s work.

• Plan, direct, and supervise large-scale engineering projects requiring substantial manpower and financial investment.

• Lead a team of engineers and design personnel to promote technical excellence and quality improvement.

• Provide expert consultation on interdisciplinary studies and analyses.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, including signing off on designs when necessary.

• Prepare material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions, review supplier data, and assess manufacturing capabilities.

• Conduct site investigations, reliability studies, and safety analyses.

• Stay up to date with industry technologies and best practices.

• Oversee and document construction quality assurance to ensure compliance with specifications.

• Supervise construction engineering activities and provide technical expertise for all construction disciplines.

• Ensure safety protocols are followed, and potential environmental or health hazards are mitigated.

• Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure correct execution of project plans.

• Develop and monitor construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

• Review procurement and delivery of materials, ensuring quality and schedule compliance.

• Coordinate the final project turnover, organizing discipline data, progress reports, and documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Professional Engineer registration is advantageous).

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in roads and utilities infrastructure projects within the UAE.

• Strong understanding of Dubai authorities’ regulations (RTA, DM, DDA, DEWA, ETISALAT, DCD, SIRA).

• Proficient in engineering software and technical tools.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with management and staff.

• Proven ability to lead teams and handle complex technical engineering issues.

• Familiarity with industry practices and safety regulations.
