Role Overview

As a Software Engineer – Data & Analytics, you will play a key role in building advanced trading and analytics platforms that support high-stakes decision-making in European power markets. You will work on large-scale data processing, automation, and real-time analytics to drive trading success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable software applications for backend and frontend trading systems.

• Design and implement data-driven solutions to optimize trading strategies.

• Collaborate with commercial teams to enhance platform functionalities and performance.

• Build, test, and debug applications, ensuring system reliability and efficiency.

• Contribute to new software projects from inception, taking ownership of their development.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Python (experience with Django or Flask is a plus).

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services, and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

• Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems.

• Self-motivated, fast learner, and capable of working in a high-pressure environment.

Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Required)

• Experience with Java programming.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and cloud platforms like AWS.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
