Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Energy Meteorologist to provide high-impact weather forecasts and analytical insights that drive trading strategies in European Gas & Power markets. Your expertise in short-term weather impacts—from intraday to month-ahead forecasts—will play a critical role in shaping our commercial decisions. You’ll work closely with traders and analysts to optimize strategies and enhance market positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver highly accurate meteorological forecasts for intraday, day-ahead, and month-ahead horizons, focusing on their impact on European Gas & Power prices.

Develop and refine statistical and numerical models to capture how weather patterns drive market fluctuations.

Provide clear, data-driven insights to traders, analysts, and leadership, ensuring well-informed trading decisions.

Work collaboratively with data scientists, developers, and fellow meteorologists to enhance forecasting tools and methodologies.

Stay ahead of advancements in meteorological science and energy trading trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:

2+ years of experience as an Energy Meteorologist, with a proven track record in short-term forecasting for energy trading.

Strong knowledge of European Gas & Power markets and how weather dynamics influence price movements.

Degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related field (Advanced degrees are welcome but not mandatory).

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex weather data into actionable trading insights.

Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced trading environments.
