Job Title: Senior Project Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure & Roads
Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to join a leading engineering consulting firm in Al Ain. This role is responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of infrastructure and road projects, ensuring cost control, budgeting, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will provide expertise in cost estimation, claims management, change orders, and contract negotiations, ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
📊 Cost Management & Financial Control

Review and evaluate payment certificates, cost estimates, and cash flow reports.

Conduct cost studies for infrastructure assets, including roads, utilities, and structures.

Prepare star rates for new items and negotiate valuation for variations.

Oversee final account settlements and contract closeouts.
📑 Contract & Change Management

Manage contractual and commercial aspects, ensuring compliance with FIDIC and UAE regulations.

Assess and resolve financial claims and disputes through negotiations or arbitration.

Evaluate and process variations, additional works, and field changes.
🤝 Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting

Actively participate in progress meetings and commercial discussions.

Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth execution.

Prepare contractual correspondence, commercial reports, and management documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
✔ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
✔ Experience: Minimum 15+ years in quantity surveying, with expertise in infrastructure projects
✔ Middle East Experience: Prior work experience with Al Ain Municipality is preferred
✔ Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts, CESMM, POMI, and NRM

Proficiency in cost management software & industry-standard tools

Knowledge of UAE construction laws and practices
✔ Professional Accreditation: MRICS or equivalent certification (preferred)
✔ Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and analytical abilities
