About the Role:

We are hiring an Audit & Accounts Supervisor for an independent accounting firm specializing in audit, financial reporting, tax, and advisory services for small businesses. This role involves leading audit assignments, preparing statutory accounts, ensuring tax compliance, and supervising junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit & Financial Reporting:

• Lead and manage audit engagements for SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with IFRS.

• Ensure adherence to accounting, audit, and tax regulations.

Tax Compliance & Advisory:

• Oversee VAT and corporate tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings.

• Provide tax advisory services to clients, addressing queries proactively.

Team Supervision & Client Engagement:

• Supervise and review the work of junior team members, providing technical support.

• Maintain and strengthen client relationships, offering expert guidance on financial matters.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and business development.

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA qualified with 3-5 years of experience in an accounting practice.

• Strong expertise in audit, financial reporting, VAT, and corporate tax.

• Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.

• Excellent client management and communication skills.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
