Our Tier-One Main Contracting Client is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Coordinator to join their Dubai-based team for high-profile new build projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural coordination, particularly in RCC frames, structural steel, and rebar, with preference given to candidates who have worked for recognized main contractors in the UAE.

This role is available for immediate joining on a 3–6 month contract through J10 Consulting, with an option for a permanent staff transfer based on performance and mutual agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Coordination & Project Oversight:

• Review and coordinate tender and IFC information models issued by consultants, including 2D drawings, BIM models, and asset data (ISO 19650 standards).
• Identify and resolve conflicting design elements, raising RFIs, CVIs, and conducting workshops as needed.
• Support the Design Manager in developing the Project Design Management Plan, Execution Plan, and Quality Assurance/Control Plan.
• Ensure multi-discipline coordination between project teams, identifying potential constraints and taking proactive actions.
• Manage subcontractor works, identifying and addressing technical deviations in design.
• Review and follow up on DFC (Design for Construction), EI (Engineer’s Instruction), and DCR (Design Change Requests).
• Support value engineering efforts, identifying cost-effective design alternatives without compromising quality.

Technical & Documentation Support:

• Ensure that modelers and draughtsmen have accurate information to update shop drawings and documentation.
• Maintain an updated drawing delivery schedule, ensuring all design documents are correctly submitted and managed.
• Oversee materials submittals and construction methodologies to align with contract requirements.
• Manage as-built/redline drawings, collecting site information, coordinating with modelers, and verifying accuracy.
• Work with the Planning Department to align design updates with project timelines.
• Handle design abortive works claims due to IFC changes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in architectural coordination or senior architectural roles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Office.
• Experience with Revizto, Navisworks, and working in Shared Collaborative Environments (CDE).
• Strong understanding of BIM principles and workflows.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
