SOM, one of the world’s leading design firms, is seeking a Senior Urban Planner to lead large-scale urban planning projects. This role requires 15+ years of experience, expertise in architecture, planning, or urban design, and a strong ability to manage teams, strategies, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement urban planning strategies for complex projects.
• Oversee research, analysis, site planning, and design guidelines.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, ensuring professional development.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and public stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality control.
• Engage in new business development and support the firm’s global initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in urban design and planning.
• Professional degree in Architecture, Planning, Urban Design, or Landscape Architecture.
• AICP certification or equivalent preferred; LEED accreditation is a plus.
• Strong experience in large-scale international urban planning projects.
• Proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Arabic speaking preferred.
