SEHA – Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. is hiring an experienced Perfusionist to join Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi. The Perfusionist plays a vital role in cardiac surgeries, ensuring safe extracorporeal circulation and supporting cardiac surgeons in complex operations.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Prepare and operate heart-lung machines and related equipment during surgeries.
✅ Provide extracorporeal circulation support for adult, pediatric, and neonate patients.
✅ Monitor and adjust physiologic variables during cardiopulmonary bypass.
✅ Administer blood products, anesthetic agents, and drugs as per protocol.
✅ Perform specialized procedures, including:

• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumping
• Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
• Ventricular Assist Devices
• Blood Gas Monitoring & Anticoagulation
  ✅ Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota for emergency and routine cases.
  ✅ Maintain quality control, patient safety, and data management.
  ✅ Train and educate new staff and trainees.
  ✅ Participate in clinical audits and risk management initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

✔ Education & Certification:

• BSc in a science-related field + Postgraduate diploma/certificate in Perfusion.
• Current national license and registration with:
  • Society of Perfusionists of Great Britain and Ireland OR
  • European Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.

✔ Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Perfusionist.
• Pediatric perfusion experience required.

✔ Skills:

• Proficiency in English (mandatory).
• Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple surgical demands.
• Ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action in emergencies.
