Job Overview

We are a leading engineering consultancy firm in the Middle East, currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil Inspector to oversee civil works on a prestigious high-rise building project (30+ stories) in Business Bay, Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and local regulations, while also playing a key role in site inspections, quality control, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Construction & Civil Works Inspection

• Monitor structural elements including foundations, slabs, beams, columns, and core walls.
• Oversee excavation, temporary works, and enabling works to ensure proper implementation.
• Conduct daily site inspections, assessing material quality and workmanship.
• Verify contractor submittals and shop drawings, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

✅ Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Identify non-conformities, propose corrective actions, and generate detailed reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and regulatory authorities to resolve issues.

✅ Safety & Environmental Standards

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on-site.
• Monitor utility diversions (water, electricity, gas pipelines) to ensure smooth execution.
• Manage permits and regulatory approvals, ensuring full compliance with UAE laws.

✅ Project Documentation & Coordination

• Prepare and complete inspection forms, punch lists, and project documentation.
• Supervise temporary site facilities (offices, worker accommodations, access roads).
• Assist the site team in troubleshooting on-site challenges to prevent project delays.

Requirements

📌 Qualifications & Certifications
✔ Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
✔ Certification in quality control or construction management is a plus.

📌 Experience & Technical Skills
✔ 8+ years of experience in civil inspection (UAE/GCC), with expertise in high-rise (30+ stories) projects.
✔ Strong knowledge of local building codes, construction regulations, and industry standards.
✔ Proven expertise in enabling works, excavation, and site preparation.
✔ Ability to interpret technical drawings, contractor submittals, and inspection reports.
✔ UAE-based candidates only.
