Position: Wet Utilities Design Director

Overview:
A leading infrastructure consultancy in the UAE is hiring a Wet Utilities Design Director to spearhead the technical planning and delivery of major water infrastructure programs. This senior leadership role is ideal for a visionary civil engineering professional with a solid track record in delivering complex wet utilities projects across potable water, wastewater, stormwater, and irrigation systems.

As part of the executive team, you will provide strategic design direction, mentor technical teams, and ensure the successful execution of infrastructure projects in alignment with regulatory, client, and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the full design lifecycle of wet utility networks including potable water, wastewater, stormwater drainage, and irrigation systems.

• Ensure technical excellence, design compliance, and quality assurance across all project phases.

• Lead internal design teams and coordinate with external consultants and stakeholders.

• Engage with government entities, developers, and authorities for approvals, compliance, and reporting.

• Oversee project budgets, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.

• Support business growth by contributing to proposals, client pitches, and project acquisitions.

• Promote innovation and sustainable practices in water infrastructure design and delivery.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.

• Minimum 15 years of experience in wet utility infrastructure design, with at least 5 years at a Director or Senior Management level.

• Demonstrated leadership in large-scale projects for urban development, utilities, or government infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of international and local standards, authority requirements (e.g., DEWA, ADSSC, RSB).

• Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng, PE) preferred.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
