Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is looking for a dedicated and professional Waiter/ess to join their Lobby Lounge team. As part of the Food and Beverage Department, you will play an essential role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests. Your primary responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every aspect of the dining service meets the highest standards of hospitality. This is a full-time on-site position that requires strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain detailed knowledge of the Lounge menu, including light meals, beverages, and signature drinks.

• Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and ensure clear communication with kitchen and bar staff.

• Address guest special requests or dietary needs and inform management and kitchen colleagues accordingly.

• Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, enhancing their dining experience.

• Operate the POS system for processing orders and perform billing tasks in line with hotel policies.

• Ensure tables are set up and cleared according to restaurant standards.

• Create memorable experiences for guests by delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations.

Skills Required:

• A High School qualification is preferred; a Degree or higher national diploma in Hospitality or Business Management is advantageous.

• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Waiter/ess, preferably in a high-volume or luxury hotel setting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages such as Arabic are a plus.

• Familiarity with dining service procedures, restaurant point-of-sale systems, and cashiering.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and colleagues.

• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
