Threat Intelligence Manager

Role Overview:

The Threat Intelligence Manager will play a key role in leading and managing the Threat Intelligence Center at CPX. This role requires a seasoned leader to oversee a team of Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysts, ensuring that all threat intelligence is collected, analyzed, and disseminated effectively. As a strategic leader, you will be tasked with managing the performance of your team, optimizing threat intelligence processes, and delivering timely and actionable insights for clients, including executive-level reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Threat Intelligence Operations: Lead a team of threat intelligence analysts in collecting, analyzing, and disseminating actionable threat intelligence to clients.

  • Quality & Timeliness Management: Ensure that the team’s reports, briefs, presentations, findings, and recommendations meet the highest quality standards and are delivered on time.

  • Measure & Report CTI Value: Track and report on the value and effectiveness of cyber threat intelligence (CTI) services, ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Process Optimization: Lead the development, management, and continuous improvement of processes to enhance the effectiveness of the Threat Intelligence function.

  • Project Contributions: Lead and actively contribute to key cyber threat intelligence projects.

  • Intelligence Products Preparation: Prepare high-quality intelligence products, including reports, assessments, briefings, and recommendations.

  • Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with both public and private sector intelligence community members.


Resource Management:

  • People Management: Interface with clients and SOC (Security Operations Center) personnel to ensure that timely, relevant, and actionable threat intelligence is communicated effectively.

  • Service Quality: Provide high-quality service, ensuring that client needs are met with actionable insights and intelligence reporting.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, incident response, or cyber hunt roles.

    • 5+ years of management experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence.

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, R, etc.).

    • Experience with Big Data Analysis.

    • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, and Mac/OSX operating systems.

  • Certifications:

    • CISSP, CISM, or similar Information Security certifications preferred.

    • Additional certifications in Malware Analysis or Threat Intelligence, such as GCIH, GREM, or GCTI, are desirable.

  • Cybersecurity Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of threat models, including security kill chain and diamond model.

    • Expertise in intelligence lifecycle and familiarity with open-source intelligence tools.

    • Experience with cyber-attack vectors, detection techniques, malware analysis, and cybercrime networks.

    • Familiarity with large-scale security operations in military, government, or corporate settings.

  • Analytical Skills: In-depth analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and lead teams effectively.

  • Leadership: Proven experience in training, mentoring, and evaluating team members.

  • Communication: Strong ability to present and defend intelligence findings and recommendations, especially at the executive level.

  • Collaboration: Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders and external partners in the intelligence community.
