Marriott International is seeking a Telephone Operator to join their Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort team in Dubai. This role focuses on handling all guest calls, requests, and inquiries, ensuring a seamless communication experience. The Telephone Operator serves as a key point of contact for guests, providing assistance, information, and support to enhance guest satisfaction while maintaining operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Answer, record, log, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns.

Operate the telephone switchboard and process requests such as wake-up calls, call forwarding, do not disturb, conference calls, and non-registered guest calls.

Relay messages accurately, activate/deactivate guest room message lights, and provide guidance on internet access.

Respond to special requests and contact the appropriate department to resolve guest inquiries.

Monitor busy or unanswered lines and follow up with guests as needed.

Dispatch bell or valet staff as required.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain professional appearance, and protect company assets.

Welcome and assist guests in alignment with company standards, including supporting individuals with disabilities.

Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and comply with quality assurance standards.

Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

No prior related work experience required.

No supervisory experience required.

Strong communication skills with professional telephone etiquette.

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle objects up to 10 pounds.
