Job Summary:
A leading logistics company in Dubai is seeking a Customs Clearance Operations Supervisor to lead end-to-end customs and clearance operations, manage a cross-border team, and ensure operational excellence across all touchpoints. This role involves overseeing the documentation process, maintaining client satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with UAE customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:

Supervise daily customs brokerage operations, ensuring seamless execution and client requirements are met.

Coordinate with management to improve operational workflows and enhance service delivery.

Liaise with finance for invoicing and payment tracking aligned with business goals.
Team Leadership:

Manage a team in Dubai and remotely in India, driving productivity and collaboration.

Provide training and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team culture.

Ensure alignment of team objectives with company goals.
Customs Compliance & Documentation:

Oversee all import/export clearance procedures and documentation in compliance with UAE customs, port, and shipping regulations.

Ensure timely updates of internal records (e.g., CLSS sheets, invoices) and accurate client communication.

Manage financial documentation, including payment collection from clients and authorities.
Client Relationship Management:

Act as a key liaison for clients, ensuring their operational needs are met and issues are resolved quickly.

Build long-term client trust through proactive support and service delivery.
Reporting & Coordination:

Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports to management with actionable insights.

Collaborate across departments (Accounts, Customer Service, Transport) to ensure smooth service flow.

Maintain effective communication with the India-based support team.
Risk & Decision Management:

Identify and resolve operational risks, proposing process improvements and solutions to leadership.

Own critical operational decisions to support continuous cash flow and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.

3–8 years of experience in customs clearance operations, preferably in the UAE.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Deep knowledge of UAE customs procedures and documentation protocols.

Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., FRESA).

Excellent analytical, coordination, and time-management skills.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
-
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage cross-functional teams.
