Aspen Technology, a global leader in software and services for industrial process optimization, is hiring a Sales Account Executive in Abu Dhabi. This full-time, on-site role focuses on managing and expanding relationships with large strategic accounts. The role demands high-level consultative selling skills, deep industry insight, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions for enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage 3–5 major strategic accounts, representing the full range of AspenTech’s products and services

Lead strategic account planning processes and ensure long-term customer satisfaction

Drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, developing solutions, and closing complex sales deals

Coordinate with internal teams including marketing, pre-sales engineering, and customer support to deliver integrated solutions
-
Develop and execute detailed account strategies and performance plans
-
Oversee all aspects of deal lifecycle including pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation
-
Meet performance metrics including customer meetings, pipeline development, and quarterly business reviews
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree (Chemical, Industrial, Production, or Petroleum Engineering preferred)

15+ years of experience in major account management
-
Minimum 10 years of enterprise software sales experience, ideally in engineering or process industries

Proven track record of engaging and closing deals with C-level stakeholders
-
Strong executive presence and leadership ability in a matrix environment

Experience working with customers in the Energy, Petroleum, or Engineering sectors
-
Familiarity with process modeling, advanced process control, manufacturing execution, and planning/scheduling software
-
Strong understanding of chemical production and supply chain processes

Excellent interpersonal, strategic thinking, and customer relationship management skills
