Banyan Group is seeking a Runner to join its hospitality team at Banyan Tree Dubai. This role is critical to ensuring smooth restaurant operations by delivering food and beverages promptly and professionally, while maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation. The Runner will support the front-of-house team, manage specialty orders, and contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver food and beverages to guests accurately, promptly, and with proper presentation.

• Pay close attention to specialty items, ensuring accuracy in garnishes, sauces, and accompaniments.

• Handle special requests such as dietary preferences and modifications, ensuring accurate communication with the kitchen.

• Collaborate effectively with servers, bartenders, and managers for smooth service flow.

• Maintain knowledge of specialty dishes, cocktails, and high-end menu items.

• Provide information to guests about ingredients and preparation methods when required.

• Support front-of-house staff by clearing plates, refilling water, and attending to guest needs.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and beverage areas.

• Assist with setup and preparation for service, including organizing plates, utensils, and garnishes.

• Perform additional duties assigned by management to ensure smooth operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service or restaurant role (runner, busser, or server) preferred.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work under pressure.

• Knowledge of food and beverage service, especially specialty dishes or drinks.

• Attention to detail and strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Physical ability to carry trays of food and beverages (30–50 pounds).

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, and reach as needed.

• Positive and proactive attitude with focus on guest satisfaction.
