Novonesis is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support its Plant Biosolutions division across the Middle East and Africa. The ideal candidate will manage regulatory activities, ensure compliance for biological products like biostimulants and microbial-based pesticides, and liaise with government agencies. This full-time role demands proficiency in English and Arabic and offers an opportunity to impact sustainable agriculture through biosolutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Define regulatory requirements for microbial and enzyme-based products used in agriculture.

Prepare dossiers and secure product registrations, licenses, and permits across MEA countries.

Maintain communications with government authorities to ensure product compliance.

Collaborate with trade associations and agencies to shape regulatory frameworks where unclear.

Provide regulatory guidance on market entry strategy and risk assessment.

Ensure product labeling and promotional materials comply with local regulations.

Respond to customer inquiries on regulatory status and certifications.

Maintain accurate regulatory data using systems like Veeva and SharePoint.

Monitor and communicate changes in regional regulations to internal teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry, plant pathology, or related scientific discipline.

2–4 years of experience in a regulatory affairs role.
-
Fluency in English and Arabic; other regional languages are a plus.

Familiarity with pesticide and fertilizer regulations in MEA countries.

Willingness to travel up to 20% regionally and internationally.
