The Pearl Initiative, a leading non-profit organisation focused on corporate governance and transparency across the Gulf Region, is hiring a Programme Manager to lead its flagship programme on Governance in Family Firms. This full-time, Sharjah-based role offers a unique opportunity to influence policy and practice among family-owned businesses across the GCC.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Development & Strategy:

Design and execute the Governance in Family Firms programme in alignment with organisational goals

Co-create programme content and innovate based on market needs and governance trends

Develop communication strategies, including email and social media campaigns
Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement:
-
Drive fundraising, revenue generation, and business development initiatives
-
Lead partnership development and secure funding agreements
-
Represent the organisation at industry events and build strategic alliances
Project & Contract Management:
-
Deliver high-impact projects (research, training, workshops) with efficiency and quality
-
Manage project teams and third-party vendors, ensuring contract compliance and budget control
-
Monitor progress and provide timely reports to stakeholders
Thought Leadership & Expertise Building:
-
Conduct research and produce bilingual content (articles, op-eds, white papers)

Lead a working group of experts and stakeholders
-
Build visibility through social media engagement and media outreach
Team Leadership & Development:
-
Mentor programme team members and foster a high-performance environment

Promote cross-team collaboration and professional development
Impact Measurement:

Define and track KPIs and impact metrics
-
Collect and analyse feedback and performance data to guide programme strategy

Report impact outcomes internally and publicly through reports and publications
Required Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Family Business, Governance, Social Sciences)
-
Additional certifications in project management, governance, impact measurement, or family business studies preferred
-
7+ years of experience in programme management or leadership roles in nonprofits, think tanks, or business networks
-
Proven experience working with family businesses, especially in governance, succession, and sustainability
-
Strong writing and research capabilities; a portfolio of published work is a plus

Fluent in English and Arabic
