Our client, a leading main contracting company in the UAE, is currently seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join their project team in Dubai. This position will focus on high-profile interior fit-out and civil construction projects across the Emirates. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on planning experience from large-scale UAE projects and be familiar with working under main contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive project schedules for all project phases

• Monitor project timelines and provide regular progress updates to project teams and management

• Identify delays and provide mitigation strategies to keep the project on track

• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather and validate project data

• Create progress reports and visual data tools, including S-curves, histograms, and other KPIs

• Conduct on-site inspections to verify actual progress against the baseline schedule

• Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and relevant documentation

• Use scheduling software tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for planning and performance tracking

• Ensure planning processes are in compliance with internal project controls and procedures

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of relevant planning experience in interior fit-out and civil construction projects within the UAE

• Proven track record working with a main contracting company

• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other scheduling tools

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and problem-solving ability

• Ability to work independently and within a team

Employment Terms:

• Immediate joining preferred

• 3–6 month outsourced contract via J10 Consulting

• Potential for transition to permanent employment based on performance and mutual agreement
