FAO is hiring a National Professional Officer (Administration) for its Subregional Office for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States and Yemen. This role involves providing effective administrative support to the organization’s programs and projects, managing financial and budgetary processes, and ensuring compliance with FAO’s operational rules.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and organize administrative services for the Subregional Office.

Provide support for FAO collaborative programs and monitor their implementation.

Manage office procedures, ensuring compliance with FAO policies and norms.
-
Supervise the administrative team and oversee office financial and budgetary management.

Prepare reports, financial estimates, and manage project budgets.

Monitor government contributions, procurement processes, and customs clearances.
-
Ensure compliance with the Minimum Operational Security Standards (MOSS).

Promote FAO’s image through advocacy of its mandate and programs.

Collaborate in procurement and operational processes in line with FAO’s guidelines.

Participate in coordination of UN common operations within the UAE Business Operations Strategy (BOS).
Required Qualifications & Skills:

National of the UAE.

Advanced university degree in business or public administration.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in office management, administration, accounting, and/or finance.

Proficiency in English and Arabic (Level C).
-
Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
-
Knowledge of FAO’s systems and accounting procedures is desirable.
