Role Overview
KEO is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join its project team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting on-site inspections in accordance with approved Mechanical Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring all mechanical works comply with contract specifications, approved drawings, local authority regulations, and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities

Attend and review Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors and respond in a timely manner

Inspect mechanical works in line with approved ITPs, drawings, specifications, and statutory requirements

Review and assess mechanical shop drawings against contract documents and applicable codes

Identify and report non-conforming works and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders

Monitor quality, safety, health, and environmental compliance on site

Ensure adherence to contractual specifications, QCS standards, and risk assessments

Maintain accurate daily site records, including progress reports and photographic documentation

Prepare surveillance reports, deficiency reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required

Coordinate mechanical works with other disciplines to avoid clashes and delays

Provide technical input and resolve mechanical engineering issues arising on site
Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 7 years of relevant site inspection experience

Prior experience working on high-rise or tower projects in the UAE is strongly preferred

Strong understanding of UAE regulations, mechanical systems, and construction standards

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with contractors and project teams
