TAQA Distribution is seeking a Lead, Internal Controls professional to oversee and implement robust internal control frameworks that safeguard company assets, enhance compliance, and ensure the accuracy of financial and operational data. This role is vital in mitigating risks, maintaining governance, and supporting efficient operations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and continuous review of the Internal Control on Financial Reporting (ICoFR) framework, including Risk Control Matrix (RCM) updates and self-assessments.

• Review, update, and enforce compliance with financial policies, governance, and Delegation of Authority (DoA).

• Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to facilitate audits and reviews of ICoFR processes.

• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority standards and regulations.

• Identify control gaps, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions within the CFO function.

• Monitor, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of internal controls.

• Provide guidance and training to teams on ICoFR policies and procedures.

• Prepare and deliver management reports, progress updates, and findings related to internal controls.

• Collaborate with IT to strengthen internal controls around electronic systems and data security.

• Promote and adhere to HSE, security, and risk management protocols.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in internal controls, audit, or risk management.

• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, governance, and compliance.

• Proven ability to work with auditors and regulatory bodies.

• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication, leadership, and training abilities.

• Awareness of HSE, security, and risk management requirements.
