Job Overview:
The Junior HSE Officer will support the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) function by implementing HSE policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements. The role emphasizes strong technical skills, safety knowledge, and the ability to convert data into actionable insights using MS Office and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement HSE policies in line with legal and client requirements.

• Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments.

• Support accident and incident investigations and corrective actions.

• Prepare safety reports, bulletins, and communications.

• Deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and inductions.

• Inspect subcontractor facilities and ensure compliance.

• Maintain accurate digital records and HSE data.

• Analyze safety trends and prepare dashboards and management reports.

• Participate in internal and external HSE audits.

• Review safety plans, procedures, and documentation for accuracy.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HSE/Safety Officer in Oil & Gas, industrial projects, or O&M environments.

• NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory).

• Strong knowledge of hazardous materials, legal requirements, and safe practices.

• Experience in audits, inspections, and preparing safety reports/policies.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, and Power BI.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of Safety Management Information Systems (SMIS) is a plus.
