The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) is seeking a UAE National to join their International Relations department. The role involves developing and implementing air transport arrangements, conducting policy research, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting the UAE’s open skies policy. The successful candidate will contribute to strategic negotiations, ensure compliance with statutory processes, and participate in special projects to enhance the UAE’s position in the global aviation sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Air Transport Arrangements

Conduct research on international aviation policies, market trends, and emerging issues.

Prepare position papers and coordinate meetings with stakeholders for air transport negotiations.

Draft reports on economic and diplomatic factors influencing air transport arrangements.
-
Plan annual prioritization of countries for negotiations and prepare all related documentation (ASAs, MoUs, records of discussions, working papers, presentations).
-
Ensure statutory processes are completed for Cabinet endorsement of Air Services Agreements.

Maintain relationships with local and international stakeholders to support open skies policy.
Project Management
-
Collaborate with project managers to ensure regulatory and safety compliance.

Manage and participate in air transport and other special projects.
Policies, Systems, and Procedures
-
Develop policies and systems for management approval in the area of innovation.
Reporting
-
Prepare timely, accurate, and high-quality functional reports meeting GCAA standards.
Health, Safety, and Environment
-
Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards in line with IMS requirements.
Other Duties

Perform additional relevant tasks as assigned by management.
