About the Role

A C-suite level opportunity is available for a highly experienced Internal Audit Director to lead the audit function of a major Family Office in Dubai. This senior role involves overseeing internal audit operations across a diverse commercial business portfolio in the UAE.

The position is suited for a senior auditing professional with strategic vision, team leadership skills, and a background in Big 4 accounting or international firms. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board and family stakeholders to enhance internal audit practices and contribute to governance and risk management excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of internal auditors handling audits across varied commercial entities

• Evaluate and redesign audit frameworks, ensuring best practices and regulatory compliance

• Report to the Board and provide strategic insight into internal control systems

• Drive improvements and innovation within the internal audit function

• Identify risks, control gaps, and propose actionable recommendations

• Guide departmental development aligned with the family’s business objectives

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Professionally qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA)

• 10+ years of progressive internal audit experience

• Strong leadership background, currently managing large audit teams

• Trained in or experienced with Big 4 accountancy firms (UAE or Europe preferred)

• Experience working with diversified commercial businesses

• Strategic thinker with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
