Job Summary:
The Commis Chef plays a vital role in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to ensure an outstanding Guest and Member experience. This role involves supporting the kitchen brigade with food preparation, mis-en-place, and maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and present dishes following Hilton’s high-quality standards.

Ensure timely completion of assigned kitchen tasks.

Assist with food cost control to contribute to kitchen revenue.
-
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene, avoiding cross-contamination.
-
Prepare mis-en-place for relevant menus.
-
Support other kitchen departments as needed and foster good working relationships.
-
Report any maintenance, hygiene, or safety hazards promptly.

Adhere to all health, safety, fire, and food safety regulations.

Strive to achieve departmental targets as part of the team.

Demonstrate environmental awareness in kitchen operations.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef.

NVQ Level 1 certification or equivalent.
-
Basic food hygiene certification.
-
Positive attitude with good communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and follow instructions.

Passion for food and culinary arts.

Completion of an accredited commercial cookery course or trade apprenticeship.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
Preferred:

NVQ Level 2 or higher.
