A prestigious luxury resort by the Red Sea is seeking a Commis 2 to join its culinary team. Reporting to the Executive Chef via Sous Chef/CDP/DCDP, the Commis 2 will assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes while maintaining kitchen hygiene and standards. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for motivated culinary professionals with prior Commis experience in luxury resorts or fine dining.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and serve food under guidance from senior chefs, maintaining the highest quality standards.

Monitor stock movement and assist in ordering for your section.

Maintain personal hygiene, clean uniforms, and uphold kitchen cleanliness standards.

Perform daily and weekly procedures including temperature checks, labeling, and proper food storage.

Assist with acceptance and storage of deliveries while adhering to company procedures.

Participate in menu planning, stock control, and food cost objectives.

Follow all fire, hygiene, and safety procedures.

Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Support other kitchen sections during emergencies or high-volume periods.

Develop professional skills under the guidance of senior chefs.
Skills & Qualifications:

Professional culinary experience of over 1 year.

Prior experience as Commis II or Commis III, preferably in luxury resorts or fine dining.

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field.

Excellent communication skills (fluent English preferred).

Ability to work under pressure for long hours in a heated environment.
