Central Stores Manager (Construction)
J10 Consulting Dubai , UAE

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client is seeking an experienced Central Stores Manager to oversee and lead operations for their central stores in Dubai. This role is critical in ensuring that all construction projects are supplied with the required materials, plant, tools, and equipment on time and within budget.

This position is offered on a 6-month temporary contract (outsourced through J10 Consulting), with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role after successful performance. Immediate availability is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily central store operations including stock control, reporting, SAP transactions, and purchase orders.

  • Manage inbound and outbound inventory, ensuring accurate documentation and physical counts.

  • Build strong relationships with project teams and stakeholders to guarantee material and equipment availability.

  • Control costs through strategic planning, KPI monitoring, and efficient asset management.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and company SOPs.

  • Coordinate with logistics to schedule timely deliveries.

  • Prepare and manage warehouse budgets while controlling expenses.

  • Lead a multinational stores team with strong communication and leadership skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience managing large-scale central stores, ideally with UAE-based Tier 1 Construction Contractors.

  • Proven expertise in warehouse/store operations within the construction sector.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, plant, tools, and equipment.

  • SAP knowledge and proficiency in inventory management systems is highly advantageous.

  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to lead independently with high attention to detail.
