Our client is seeking an experienced Careers & Alumni Relations Manager to lead careers, employability, alumni engagement, and corporate partnerships initiatives within the UAE higher education sector. This strategic and student-focused role supports postgraduate students and alumni in achieving strong employment outcomes while strengthening long-term relationships with employers, alumni, and external stakeholders.

The role requires confidence operating within the UAE higher education regulatory environment, combining careers delivery, alumni relations, employer engagement, and statutory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Careers & Employability

• Deliver one-to-one career coaching to postgraduate students through face-to-face, telephone, and virtual channels.

• Design and deliver career management and employability workshops, including CV writing, interview preparation, and professional development.

• Promote and coordinate careers services delivered by central teams.

• Build and maintain relationships with local and regional employers to generate job, internship, and placement opportunities.

• Organise careers fairs, employer presentations, networking events, and company visits.

• Engage industry professionals and guest speakers to provide market insights into the UAE and regional employment landscape.

• Produce employer-facing materials such as CV books, talent profiles, and recruitment resources.

Alumni Relations

• Serve as the primary point of contact for local and regional alumni.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni groups, committees, and ambassadors.

• Plan and deliver alumni networking events, speaker sessions, and engagement initiatives.

• Manage alumni communications across email campaigns, newsletters, and social media, working closely with marketing teams.

• Support alumni engagement strategies that enhance employability outcomes, brand reputation, and institutional visibility.

• Contribute to alumni-related marketing, communications, and fundraising activities.

Corporate & External Engagement

• Develop and manage relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, and external stakeholders.

• Identify and grow partnerships that support employability initiatives, events, and strategic projects.

• Represent the organisation at external networking, industry, and community events.

• Support corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives by identifying and securing suitable partners and sponsors.

• Maintain an active regional employer and stakeholder network.

Strategy, Reporting & Compliance

• Support the implementation of careers and alumni strategies aligned with organisational objectives.

• Prepare and contribute to reports for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, including statistics, feedback, insights, and recommendations.

• Ensure accurate data management, reporting, and compliance, working closely with central careers and alumni teams.

• Maintain high standards of data integrity, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

• Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.

Requirements

Skills & Experience

• Certified Career Coach (mandatory).

• Proven experience in higher education, careers services, employability, or alumni relations.

• Strong understanding of the UAE higher education landscape and regulatory framework.

• Experience preparing reports and insights for regulatory or external stakeholders.

• Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and networking skills.

• Confident communicator with strong emotional intelligence and professionalism.

• Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with central and regional teams.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.

• Strong IT skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

• Willingness to travel as required.

Salary & Benefits

• AED 25,000 – 27,000 per month, inclusive of fixed allowances.
